6 and a half more weeks.
And year two of my teaching career will be complete. I have mostly feelings of relief. I cant wait for a break. My first teaching gig I got as a credentialed teacher was teaching credit recovery summer school. It was not that bad at all. The students didnt really want to be there but it wasnt bad. I didnt ever feel overwhelemed behaviorally. Thoug it was a great challenge to get 4 hours of lessons...
I just had a realization; the critical necessity of teacher preperation programs are to prepare teachers for what they need most help with: effective teaching strategies and classroom management.
